Data Deletion Policy

Overview
This policy describes how StockKoala handles data deletion when you uninstall the App or request removal of your data. We are committed to giving you full control over your information.
Automatic Deletion on Uninstall
When you uninstall StockKoala from your Shopify store, the following data is automatically and immediately deleted:
- Shopify session and authentication data (access tokens, admin user info)
- OAuth credentials and refresh tokens
Data Retained After Uninstall
The following data is retained after uninstall to allow for reinstallation without data loss and to support any outstanding data export needs:
- Employee records (names, badge IDs, access permissions)
- Inventory audit logs (check-in history, action records)
- Purchase orders and line items
- Forecast configurations and supplier profiles
- Batch expiration records and allocation history
- Inventory snapshots (auto-deleted after 180 days regardless)
- Packaging supply records
- Schedule rules and app configuration settings
Requesting Full Data Deletion
To request complete deletion of all your data, email us at support@stockkoala.com with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your Shopify store URL (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
- Confirmation that you want all data permanently deleted
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email.
What Full Deletion Includes
Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently remove:
- All employee records and badge configurations
- All inventory audit log entries
- All purchase orders, line items, and attachments
- All forecast configurations, supplier profiles, and supplier tags
- All batch expiration records and order allocation history
- All inventory snapshots
- All app configuration and settings data
- All cached variant and sales data
- All schedule rules, forecast tags, and packaging supply records
- All dismissed alert records
After deletion, this data cannot be recovered.
Shopify GDPR/Privacy Webhooks
StockKoala supports Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:
- Customer Data Request: Since we do not store end-customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, payment details), there is no customer data to report.
- Customer Data Erasure: Since we do not store end-customer personal information, no action is required. Order IDs stored in batch allocation records are anonymized or deleted upon request.
- Shop Data Erasure: Upon receiving this webhook (triggered 48 hours after uninstall), all remaining store data is permanently deleted.
